We are pleased to share that we have recently opened a property in Truro, increasing our Supported Accommodation capacity to 170 beds across 25 properties.

Expanding our provision is a key part of vision to end homelessness in Cornwall. Through an additional bedspaces, we will be able to provide a life-changing opportunity for more people to access support who would otherwise be forced to experience homelessness.

“We have now moved in residents who are all over the moon with the standard of the property and the facilities that it offers.  It has brought one of them almost close to tears as they didn’t think they were worthy of such a space.
I feel humbled to be given such an opportunity to support the residents embracing this new chance, and proud of the space that people are being given to move into.  Moving forward, we have already started to talk about activities we can do together to build rapport, and the dynamics in the house are really positive and supportive.”
-Paul Carter,
Manager of the new property

Last year, we were able to support 317 people through our Supported Accommodation, which includes support towards independent living skills, counselling opportunities as well as a route to employment for people ready for independence.

Thank you to all of our supporters and funders who have made this possible.

We will continue to work towards increasing the capacity of our own supported accommodation service so that we can respond quickly to provide accommodation whenever it is needed.
